Diploma-At-A-Distance Graduate speaks at Legislative Hall
Mamie Jackson, a 2011 Diploma-At-A-Distance graduate, spoke at the Interagency Coalition on Adult Literacy’s annual awards ceremony. Attendees included Delaware Lt. Governor Matt Denn, adult educators, and volunteers from across Delaware. Mamie urged adult educators to continue to carry on the important work of helping Delaware adults who have not completed high school to earn a GED or high school diploma. She also shared her personal experience in the Diploma-At-A-Distance program and how she overcame obstacles to complete her high school diploma. Mamie hopes that her accomplishments encourage other adults to reach their educational goals
