DCDAL is currently seeking a PT Adult Basic Education (distance learning/virtual face-to-face) instructor for the site’s blended learning ABE course(s) starting Winter 2023. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university and a valid Delaware teaching credential in adult education as outlined in the Delaware Department of Education’s Delaware Community Adult Education Program regulations. Additionally, candidates for this position must be highly computer literate and specifically, must have experience in facilitating blended learning courses, the utilization of virtual meeting software (Zoom), and the use of various instructional software programs and online tools designed to keep students engaged and learning in the virtual classroom environment. PT OAASIS Team Member
DCDAL is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for an outgoing current or former adult education student interested in providing outreach and support services to DCDAL students and participating in leadership development training. DCDAL is recruiting to fill its OAASIS Team Member position at our office located in Dover, Delaware. This position is funded and employed through OAASIS (Organization of Adult Alumni and Students in Service) which is a Delaware adult education organization.
The job duties at DCDAL will include, but are not limited to contacting students via telephone and email to follow up on items such as inactivity, completion of a course, job searches, appointment reminders, as well as assisting students with setting up tutoring and providing community and social service referrals. Responsibilities will also include attending and assisting at student orientations and other student outreach events such as Family Literacy Day, Groves Annual Graduation and the GED Recognition Ceremony. This position will act as a peer mentor for students currently enrolled in the ABE, GED and Groves programs. Interested candidates must be 18 years of age or over, must to able to commit to working 13 hours a week at the DCDAL office in Dover, willing to attend monthly leadership training as required by OAASIS and attend offsite events.
