The Delaware Center for Distance Adult Learning, Inc. (DCDAL) proudly held its 29th Annual James H. Groves High School Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Looking Glass Auditorium located at Polytech Adult Education in Woodside, Delaware.
DCDAL celebrated the achievements of 34 graduates, with 20 graduates participating in the ceremony. Graduates Mi’Nyah Furrowh and Ashley Price served as the Class of 2026 student speakers, sharing their inspiring stories of perseverance and success.
The Class of 2026 has already demonstrated a strong commitment to continuing their education and career advancement. Approximately 50% of graduates have been accepted into or are currently in the enrollment process for post-secondary institutions, including Delaware Technical Community College and Bryant & Stratton College. Graduates are pursuing studies in fields such as Nursing, Information Technology, Youth Ministry, and Counseling.
An additional 24% have enrolled in or plan to pursue skilled trade programs, including HVAC, Cosmetology, and Dental Hygiene. Furthermore, 9% of graduates have already enlisted in the military or are currently in the enlistment process. The remaining graduates are continuing to advance in their current careers or actively pursuing new professional opportunities.
These accomplishments are a testament to the determination, resilience, and ambition of the DCDAL Class of 2026. DCDAL is proud of each graduate’s achievements and looks forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in their communities and chosen professions.
